The Programme started with the introduction of the speaker Dr.Saroj by Dr.Ananda Reddy, MEU faculty. Dr.Saroj discussed extensively on the various systems approaches in medical education. She spoke at length about their usage, application, implementation, advantages and disadvantages. Dr.SP Rao, Dean of Narayana Medical, impleded on the topic and discussed various modifications of systems approach. He also highlighted the role of various stakeholders in implementing systems approach in medical education. Faculty were asked to share their views. Few of them put forward the practicalities in implementing systems approach. Some questioned the need of it when traditional system is working smoothly. Faculty from the Department of Hospital Administration shared their experiences in implementation of this approach. Surgery Professor Dr.K.Sampath Kumar, advised on the usage of systems approach in all aspects of life. Dr.Saroj was then felicitated with a Shawl and Memento by Dean Dr.S.P.Rao. The programme ended with rendering of National Anthem.
