One day CME program NeuroImaging Update – CME was organised by Dept.of Radiology, Narayana Medical College on 13.11.2022 Sunday from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM.
Many distinguished speakers have participated in the CME from Chennai and Bangalore and our own specialist Faculty from NMCH.
Dr.Sharath, Neuro Radiologist from Apollo, Benguluru has spoken on
- Mimics of Multiple Sclerosis and illustrated with several examples how to differentiate/diagnose the same.
- The role of Radiology in the Era of Mechanical Thrombectomy and what Radiologist should know in selecting the patient. He has shown several line diagram, charts and examples to illustrate this.
- He has also conducted a Quiz demonstrating rare cases in Neuro Radiology for the benefit of PG students.
Prof Babu Peter, Madras Medical College (MMC) Chennai has given lecture on
- Demyelinating disorders and various causes and examples
- Arterial spin labelling Perfusion imaging in clinical practice and its role in Neurological disorders, infections, tumors and other entities.
Dr.Adithyan from Apollo Chennai spoke on Newer advanced imaging in CNS tumors including ASL, CBF, Cerebral Blood Volume;Â MTT and so on.
Dr.K.Durga , Professor and HOD of Pathology, NMCH has given a lecture on WHO CNS 5 – latest classification in CNS tumors and what a Radiologist need to know.
Dr.Uma Mahaeswara Reddy, Professor from NMC discussed MR Spectroscopy and various applications in CNS lesions.
Dr.Sravan Krishna Reddy, Asst Professor from NMC has given a lecture on Imaging in Epilepsy including examples of MTS and other entities.
Professor Sampath Kumar from Neurology Department, NMC has discussed the Clinical perspective in stroke and what Radiologist should know in background of stroke.
Several Professors/HOD’s/Consultants have participated as Chairpersons (Dr Hima Bindhu from Medicover Hospital , Dr SV Rao from ASRAM Medical College and Dr. MG Ravi from NMC)
The inauguration program was attended by the Dean NMC Dr SP Rao, and Academic Director Dr.Narasimha Reddy and MS Dr.Hari Prasad Reddy who have given valuable message to the delegates.
Nearly 150 delegates have registered and made the conference a grand success.
APMC observer Dr.Abdul Sahul Hameed also participated on behalf of APMC and appreciated the scientific program.
Live video recording as well as key photographs and jio tagging of entire proceedings was done by the photography department of NMC.
The CME concluded with valedictory function addressed by the junior faculty.
