On the occasion of World Population Day, 2019, the following activities were organized by the department of Community Medicine.

On 11-7-19 about 100 medical and 50 nursing students were mobilized and were transported to the village Venkatachalam of our Rural Health Center. The rally was formally flagged off by the Dean, COO and other administrators of the college. This group under the leadership of Dr. C. Kumar, Dr. Bhaskar and others went around the streets of the village Venkatachalam. Slogans highlighting the dangers of overpopulation, small family norm, promotion of family planning etc., were given as part of the health education campaign.
