Dr. P. Sreenivasulu Reddy He is a renowned clinical Microbiologist and best UG and PG medical teacher, examiner and PhD guide from South India. He served as a member, Board of studies Dr.YSR UHS, Vijayawada and as external member for Board of Studies, SDUHER, KOLAR, KA. Completed his under graduation in the year 1993 from Kurnool Medical College, A.P. Awarded MD degree by Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada in the year 1998. He joined as assistant Professor in department of Microbiology in the year 1998 and now heading the institute as Principal. He is a good academician and designed a very good curriculum for poor performers in the academics. He underwent NTTC training in Medical Education from JIPMER in the year 2007 subsequently trained in Advanced Course in Medical Education from St.Jhon’s Medical College Bangalore.
His tremendous in the research field made him to publish 32 articles in various national and international Journals. He prepared a good, practically feasible manual for institutional hospital infection control and prevention practices and trained in HIC from JIPMER, Puducherry. Chairperson for institutional NAAC accreditation. His areas of interest are Emerging Antimicrobial resistance and Hospital infection control. He is an active member in Medical education trainings. He has served as judge for many scientific sessions in various conferences and Guest Speaker. He is the author for two text books one is Hospital Practice and Patient Care and the second one is Quick review of Medical Microbiology. He is guest speaker in conferences and CMEs to other Medical Colleges in the state and also at institute level. He received a prestigious ASIA PACIFIC EDUCATION EXCELLENCE AWARD for his outstanding achievements and remarkable role in the field of education.
The members of institutional slow leaner and mentoring committee has been assembled in the presence of chairperson and discussed the following.
- MBBS I and II year students has to divided into small groups comprising of 15-20 for each group.
- Each gropu of students has to be taken care by a senior faculty from all the departments of I and II MBBS.
- III MBBS students will be divided into small groups with the list of faculty obtained from the Medical superintendent.
- Each student group will be informed to meet the their mentor for academic and any another personal problems related to their studies to discuss frequently.
- Based on their discussion with the mentor the issues related to slow learning will be identified and to be acted accordingly
