The Department of Community Medicine has conducted the Dr. YSR UHS Zonal CMEon’ Epidemiology’, on 27/4/24. The CME started with registrations from 8.30 AMDr. P. Sreenivasulu Reddy, Principal of Narayana Medical College, graced the occasion.Dr. K. Ashalatha Professor & HOD Anatomy, Narayana Medical College, Nellore was appointed as Observer for the CME.

After prayer & lighting of the lamp the session started with Dr. Monica Steffi Thomas, SMO, WHO delivering a lecture on Vaccine Preventable Disease Surveillance followed by the presentation of Dr. C. Kumar Professor of Community Medicine on Case – Control studies, after the tea break.

The next topic ‘Cohort studies was presented by Dr. Thirumala Rao, Associate Professor of Community Medicine, GMC, Ongole, followed by lunch.

The Post lunch session started with the topic ‘Randomized Clinical Trials presented by

Dr. C. Jyothi, Professor & HOD, Dept. of Community Medicine, Narayana Medical College. Then Clinico-social Case discussion on Diabetes Mellitus was done. The Case was Presented Dr. Sk. Sakeena, Final year Post- Graduate of the department. This was an interactive session with the participation of all post-graduates that were present from Zone II Collages.

Case discussion was followed by Valedictory function & mementos were presented to Dr. Monica. S. Thomas, Dr. Thirumala Rao, Dr. Phanindra. D, Zone II CME coordinator &Dr. Ashalatha, Professor & HOD Anatomy, Narayana Medical College. Nellore.Vote of Thanks was proposed by Dr. K. Salini Post-Graduate in the department.

CME concluded with National Anthem.
