Dr. P. Sreenivasulu Reddy began his academic career as an Assistant Professor in 1999 and has progressively risen to the position of Dean. Over the course of his academic career, he has contributed extensively to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.

Teaching, Examination and Mentorship

• Served as a teacher, examiner and guide for MBBS, MD/MS and PhD students.
• Has been actively involved in teaching and mentoring medical students and postgraduate learners.

Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME)

• Has played a key role in the effective implementation of Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME).
• Served as Chairman of the Curriculum Committee for the Curriculum Implementation Support Program – III (CISP-III) conducted under the National Medical Commission (NMC) in 2025.
• Conducted academic activities and personally taught the fundamental principles of CBME.

• Led the implementation of the Basic Course in Medical Education in accordance with NMC guidelines.

• Under his leadership, students of Narayana Medical College achieved six positions among the Dr. NTR UHS Top 10 ranks in the 2026 Final MBBS Part-I examinations, and the successful students were felicitated.

Dr. P. Sreenivasulu Reddy has made distinguished contributions not only as a medical teacher, but also as an academic administrator, researcher, Hospital Infection Control expert, author and educational leader. His work in medical education, CBME implementation, faculty development, research, infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, student development and institutional quality improvement has contributed significantly to the development of Narayana Medical College, Nellore.
