The Department of Anatomy, Narayana Medical College, Nellore conducted the 17th RSA MEET 2018, which was held on 07th & 08th July 2018. The main theme of the conference was “FABRIC OF NATURE”.

The conference started with Invocation, Lamp lighting, Inauguration of the Souvenier and the Chief Guest was the Honorable Sri. T. Amarnath Goud Honourable Judge of High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Guest of Honour was Dr. Subramanyam, Director of Narayana Medical Institutions, and the Special Guest was Dr.T.S. Rao, Senior Advisor, Department of Biotechnology, from Government of India , New Delhi, The other dignitaries on the stage were Dr.G.Veera Nagi Reddy, Principal, Narayana Medical College, Addl. Superintendent of Narayana Hospital, Dr.Sreeram Satish, office bearers of the RSA General Secretary Dr. Muralidhar Reddy, Head of Anatomy, NRI Medical College, Guntur, President Dr. Mrudula, Head of the Department of Anatomy, Apollo Medical College, Hyderabad, Mr.K.Devi Sankar Treasurer RSA, assistant Professor of Anatomy, Narayana Medical College, Nellore, Organizing Secretary Dr.L.Hema, Head of Anatomy Narayana Medical College, Nellore, Dr. R. Suman Babu, Treasurer of the conference.


In the speech of justice few words were eye catching like he placed the doctors next to god and said that we fight with Lord Yama and save the patient. The guest lecturer were conducted on the topic called as “CANCER BIOLOGY”. The speakers were:


1. Dr.C .Haritha, Chief Medical Oncologist, from Apollo Hospital, Nellore, her speech was on “ RECENT TRENDS IN ETIOPATHOGENESIS OF CANCER”

2 Dr. C.K. Naidu Chandra, Oncoplastic surgeon from Basavataraka Indo American Hospital, Hyderabad, his topic was “SURGICAL ANATOMY OF MAMMARY GLAND IN RELEVANCE TO FUTURE MANAGEMENT”

3. Dr.S.V. Phanindra, Professor and head of Forensic Medicine, Narayana Medical College, Nellore. His speech was on “ LEGAL ETHICS IN THE BODY DONATION”.

4. The Inaugaral session of scientific session by Special Guest Dr. T.S. Rao, Senior Advisor, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, New Delhi, . Followed by one more guest lecture by Ms. Sarvepalli Deepsitha Skanda, Scientist, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing her topic was: INTELLIGENT SYSTEM ON CHIP FOR EARLY DIAGNOSIS OF BREAST CANCER”.

The conference was attended by 500 delegates from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. The conference had two international delegates from United Arab Emirates. The total Number of papers for the conference were 64 including poster and oral sessions. There were awards for scientific sessions on the name Dr.Lily Ebenezer which went to Dr. Mohammad Nazeer, Majmah university, Majmah, UAE. The poster award session on the name of Dr. Rajendra Babu was given to Mrs.P. Sharmila Bhanu, Assistant Professor, Narayana Medical College, Nellore. The remaining sessions went on smooth and the conference was a great success. We the team ultimately thank the management and the Administration.
