Narayana Medical College, Nellore Wins 1st Prize at Andhra Pradesh Green Awards during 69th Vanamahotsavam
The institution is committed to maintaining a sustainable and eco-friendly campus through regular environmental assessments and the implementation of best practices in water conservation, energy efficiency, and waste management.
Our campus features a rich green landscape, including 297 shade-giving trees, 3 well-maintained lawns, and over 100 medicinal plants, along with thoughtfully designed garden spaces. Wastewater is systematically recycled and reused for irrigation, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
In recognition of these efforts, Narayana Medical College, Nellore, was awarded the 1st Prize in the Private Colleges category at the Andhra Pradesh Green Awards during the 69th Vanamahotsavam celebrations held on July 14, 2018. The prestigious award was presented by the Honorable Chief Minister, Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu, acknowledging the institution’s dedicated approach to environmental stewardship.
Spanning a total area of 9,00,000 square feet, nearly 30% of the campus is devoted exclusively to greenery. The mature trees and expansive green cover create a serene environment that complements the academic and healthcare setting.
We take pride in nurturing one of the finest green campuses in the state, offering a peaceful and healthy atmosphere for students, staff, and patients alike.
