Postgraduate CME - Complex Trauma of Lower Limb | Dept. of Orthopedics
There has been a steep rise in the number of road traffic accidents in the last decade; attributing to complex fractures mostly involving the lower limbs. We, the department of Orthopaedics had organized a CME on 01.10.2022 for Post graduates and emerging Orthopaedic surgeons, the theme which was “Complex fractures of the lower limb”. As a result of the complex fractures; the treatment protocol has also been a great challenge. The objective of this CME was to understand the complex fractures and the various treatment options for it. The guest speakers Dr.K.V. Jaya Prakash; Prof and HOD of Adiparasakthi Medical College, Chennai and Dr.Natarajan .S; Prof and HOD of Saveetha Medical College ,Chennai had enlightened the delegates with their overview and experiences of dealing with such fractures. There was also a Pelvic external fixator workshop along with this CME, which was very useful to the delegates. There was an interesting interactive session with the speakers. The whole programme was also given live on Narayana Medical College YouTube channel. A total of 150 delegates and post graduates from various colleges had attended the CME.
