It is a technique in which operations in the abdomen are performed through small incisions.

Endoscopy means looking inside a hollow viscus or a body cavity using an instrument called endoscope.

When compared to conventional open surgery , endoscopic surgery has many advantages like

5. Less adhesion formation
6. Reduced blood loss
7. Small abdominal scars with cosmetic value

Hands-on training workshop on hysteroscopy and laparoscopy was carried out in Narayana Medical College and general hospital, Nellore, on  16-04-2023.

DR.RAMAKRISHNA HANUMAN , the national faculty of FOGSI ,has been managing the FOGSI recognized training centre for gynaec endoscopy  since 2013.

DR.RAMAKRISHNA HANUMAN   has demonstrated and given the advantage of hands on training both to faculty and post-graduates about the equipment of laparoscopy , hysteroscopy  and various procedures depending upon the case scenarios.

CASE SCENARIOS evaluated for workshop are :

1. Infertility patients
2. Abnormal uterine bleeding
3. Post menopausal bleeding
4. Chronic pelvic pain

Ultimately , 10  gynaecological cases with different pathological findings were evaluated during workshop.

It was proved to be extremely useful for consultants as well as attendees because they are the latest diagnostic and operative procedures.

It has given a comprehensive educational and surgical experience to all the doctors who attended the workshop.
