As per the guidelines of NMC, the department of Community Medicine, Narayana Medical College, conducted a medical camp in Varigonda village under Family Adoption Program. The students of Phase II MBBS participated in the camp along with the faculty, post-graduates and interns posted in community medicine. Specialist from the departments of General Medicine, Orthopaedics, OBGY, Paediatrics, Dermatology and Ophthalmology took part in the camp and disposed off their respective OPDs. A total of about 150 members attended the camp most of them for consultation in general medicine, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology and Dermatology. The students motivated the members of the families they have adopted to attend the camp and get treatment for their problems. In addition, screening for hypertension and Diabetes was also done.
