CINECWorld Diabetes day -14th November 2024
On the occasion of world diabetes day, awareness program was conducted at Urban Health Training Centre(UHTC),Saraswathi nagar, by the department of Community Medicine, Narayana Medical College & hospital under the guidance of Dr. C. Jyothi, Dr.C.Kumar.
Dr.Ali &Dr.Sarvani ,Assistant Professors and Dr.Shalini &Dr.Lalitha Post graduates,Dr.Aswini& Dr.Sai teja tutors and interns of Department of Community medicine and UHTC Medical officer Dr.Karthik took part in the awareness program.

Dr.C.Jyothi, Professor & Head, Department of community medicine,explained about the prevalence of diabetes, risk factors i.e,modifiable and non modifiable,food habits and preventive measures like healthy lifestyle which includes regular exercise, avoiding junk food,intake of protein rich foods.
Dr.C.Kumar, Professor, Department of Community Medicine,briefly talked about the importance of screening & Complications of the Diabetes.
Dr.Ali, Assistant professor, Department of Community medicine explained about the importance of early diagnosis & treatment, regular follow up and self care.
Dr.Sarvani, Assistant professor, Department of Community medicine conducted an interactive session with the audience.
