The Department of General Surgery, Narayana Medical College, Nellore, successfully conducted a hands-on workshop on Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) for Varicose Veins on 20th September 2025 at the Surgery Seminar Hall. The event brought together surgeons, postgraduate trainees, and faculty members for an intensive session on one of the most advanced minimally invasive techniques in vascular surgery.

He performed the live Radiofrequency Ablation procedure and explained each step—from venous mapping, cannulation, catheter placement, tumescent anesthesia, to ablation technique—providing valuable clinical tips for safe and effective outcomes.

Dr. Konappa V, Associate Professor of General Surgery, Chikkamagaluru Institute of Medical Sciences, Karnataka.
He delivered detailed academic sessions on the pathophysiology of varicose veins, indications for RFA, patient selection, preoperative evaluation, postoperative care, and complication management.
