An awareness program on anti-ragging was successfully conducted at Narayana Medical College, Nellore on 16/10/2024, to welcome the new batch of undergraduate (MBBS) students and ensure a safe and supportive environment for them.
The event saw the participation of several dignitaries, including Mrs. Ch Sowjanya, Additional Superintendent of Police, Mr. G Sreenivas Rao, DSP (Rural), Mr. N Rama Rao and Mr. Ch Krishna Reddy, Circle Inspectors from Mahila Police Station, Mr. T Venkata Subba Rao, Circle Inspector, and Mr. B Laksman Rao, Sub-Inspector, Nellore (Rural).
The college was represented by Dr. P Sreenivasulu Reddy, Principal and Faculty member and also the members from Anti Ragging Committee. During the program, students were briefed on the harmful effects of ragging and the strict legal measures in place to prevent such activities. The presence of law enforcement officials highlighted the importance of maintaining discipline and safety in the academic environment.
The session reinforced the college’s commitment to ensuring a ragging-free campus and fostering a positive learning atmosphere for all students.
