The Family Adoption Programme for the 2023 MBBS Part-I batch (248 students) of Narayana Medical College was conducted at Velamavaridinne on 12 March 2026.

The programme included household visits, comprehensive family profiling, and collection of socio-demographic data. Students assessed environmental and nutritional conditions, identified common health problems, and carried out screening for non-communicable diseases, along with maternal and child health evaluations.

Health education was provided on key aspects of preventive care, and individuals requiring further management were referred to appropriate health facilities.
