Department Overview

The Department of Medical Gastroenterology at Narayana Medical College, Nellore, was established on 07 July 2009 with the objective of providing comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic and follow-up services for patients with gastrointestinal, hepatic and pancreaticobiliary disorders.

20-Bed Medical Gastroenterology Unit
The department functions as one clinical unit with a bed strength of 20 beds and has an annual PG intake of 2 students.

It provides dedicated inpatient and outpatient services with structured clinical and academic activities.

Critical Care & Patient Care Facilities

The department has 6 ICU and HDU beds, supported by two wards and two OPD rooms for organized patient care.

A dedicated seminar room facilitates postgraduate teaching, case discussions, seminars, journal clubs and other academic activities.

pH Manometry Laboratory
