On the occasion of World Rabies Day 2022, the Department of Community Medicine, Narayana Medical College, Nellore conducted the following events.
An Intra-collegiate quiz programme was organized for IIIrd year MBBS students. Initially a screening test (25 MCQ’s) was conducted on 23.09.2022 for 45 students who volunteered to participate in quiz, out of which 12 students were selected for quiz on 27.09.2022. Four teams participated with 3 students in each team (Teams – A, B, C, and D). Totally there were 6 rounds in quiz like World rabies day theme round, rapid fire round etc. Dr. S. P. Rao, Dean, Narayana Medical College and Professor of Community Medicine as Quiz master, Dr. Charan (PG Community Medicine) as Time keeper and Dr. Sakeena (PG Community Medicine) as Scorer for quiz. Dr. B. Shruthi (Senior Resident of Community Medicine) played a key role in the framing of questions for the quiz under the able guidance of Dr. C. Kumar (Professor and HOD of Community Medicine) and Dr. C. Jyothi (Academic Vice principal and Professor of Community Medicine), staff and PG’s also helped in framing questions and organizing the event; Dr. A. Divya Sree (Assistant Professor of Community Medicine), Dr. G. Vandana (Senior Resident of Community Medicine), and Post Graduates (Dr. Chaithanya and Dr. Madhuri). This event is done in collaboration with Dr. M. Prasad, NSS unit head, Associate professor of Biochemistry and prizes (Shields and Pens) to the winners (Team C) and runner ups (Team A and Team D) were sponsored by Rabipur vaccina and Serum Institute of India.
