On the occasion of “World Environment Day” on 05.06.23, the department of Community Medicine, Narayana Medical College visited Anapallipadu a village under the Rural Field Practice area, Venkatachalam Mandal. Prof & HOD. Dr. C. Jyothi spoke about the water, air & soil pollution and specially the dangers caused by using plastics. She also emphasised the importance of environmental sanitation, role of trees in weather management and also about safe drinking water. Other faculty members Dr. Sai Sravan Kumar Asst. Prof and Dr. Rajasekhar Senior Resident in the department also spoke about how to safeguard the environment. Later tree plantation was done by the children and women who attended the program with the help of final year Part –I students, Interns, RHTC Venkatachalam Medical Officer Dr. Akshith and staff and faculty & Post Graduates of the Department of Community Medicine. Snacks were distributed to the people who participated in the program.
